In his own words:
“It is going to be very difficult for Republicans to run on their stewardship of the economy or their outstanding foreign policy,” Obama told a fundraiser in Jacksonville, Florida. “We know what kind of campaign they’re going to run. They’re going to try to make you afraid.
“They’re going to try to make you afraid of me. He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black?”
Who’s pulling the race card now? What happened to ‘transcending race’ that ol’ Baracky had asked the Caucasians to do? Is this the Obama strategy? Oh that’s right. The past few months have been a TOTAL reflection on this.
Who’s the one being a hypocritical, bigoted race-baiter?

Two Muslim women at Barack Obama’s rally in Detroit on Monday were barred from sitting behind the podium by campaign volunteers seeking to prevent the women’s headscarves from appearing in photographs or on television with the candidate.

Obama’s Affiliations Speak Louder than His Words

Throughout the Presidential primary Senator Barack Obama has been claiming that he is going to bring “Change” to Washington.
One argument he uses is his refusal to take contributions from lobbyists or Political Action Committees (PAC’s). His campaign web site states, “A High Standard Unlike other candidates Obama’s campaign refuses to accept contributions from Washington lobbyists and political action committees.” Obama’s web site goes on to tout his “Plan to Change Washington by saying “I am in this race to tell the corporate lobbyists that their days of setting the agenda in Washington are over. I have done more than any other candidate in this race to take on lobbyists — and won. They have not funded my campaign, they will not run my White House, and they will not drown out the voices of the American people when I am president.”
He has consistently criticized his primary opponent Senator Hillary Clinton for taking contributions from lobbyists and PAC’s, as pointed out by the
Boston Globe. Obama’s campaign put up an ad on YouTube to emphasize the point. The ad attempts to tie contributions to political favors from elected officials. The ad concludes with the following text, “We can’t end the Washington game until we change the players.” In this “game” as Obama describes it there are two teams…the lobbyists and PAC’s…and the recipients of their largess.
Senator Obama is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC). The CBC is comprised of African American Members of Congress from the House and Senate and has several additional entities which include the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation and its subsidiary the CBC Spouses. Senator Obama’s wife Michelle is a member of the CBC Spouses.
Obama has consistently played down any relationship he has with lobbyists. However, research by MajorityAP.com shows a different story. As reported by MajorityAP.com in June of 2007 the Congressional Black Caucus Spouses held a fundraising golf tournament on June 24 – 25, 2007 at the Four Diamond Award-winning Lansdowne Resort in Virginia, “Pledging the attendance of nearly a dozen member of Congress – including the Chair of the House ethics committee – the charitable foundation of the Congressional Black Caucus has been soliciting contributions of up to $80,000 from Washington, DC, lobbyists for its annual golf tournament Photo number 73 from this event on the CBC Foundation web site shows sponsors for this event. It lists lobbying firms, pharmaceutical and energy companies as well as several other organizations.
Just one month later MajorityAP.com reported on another CBC event that targeted lobbyists for contributions to an Annual Legislative Conference. “In an e-mail solicitation widely distributed to Congressional lobbyists, Elsie Scott, President and CEO of the CBC Foundation, is asking for ‘a minimum purchase of a $10,000 Silver Table for the Annual Awards Dinner,’” which was held on September 26 - 29 at the Washington, D.C., Convention Center. “Scott promised to have the ‘42 members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) join with key political, business and civic leaders,’ and notes the event ‘is a well-chosen moment for bringing together businesses and savvy consumers.’” Photos number 28 and 50 from this event on the CBC Foundation web site show Senator Obama in attendance and smiling with guests.
As they have done for several years the CBC Spouses are holding a fundraising golf tournament. It will be held on June 21 – 22, 2008 at the Four Diamond Kingsmill Resort & Spa in Williamsburg, Virginia. Sponsorships are being solicited for the event range from $5,000 to $100,000. A review of the tournament committee shows Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones, the Chairwoman of the House of Representatives Committee on Standards of Official Conduct (sometimes referred to as the Ethics Committee) as Co-chair. The other Co-chair is a member of the CBC Spouses organization. The remainder of the committee lists several lobbyists and their organizations.
The promotional page for the CBC Foundations 2008 Annual Legislative Conference being held September 24-27 at the Washington, D.C., Convention Center shows a photo of Senator Obama and lists pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly as the premier sponsor, a privilege that cost them . Additional sponsorships are available for this event starting at $500 and going to $300,000.
There is ongoing financial interaction between lobbyists and the CBC organizations of which the Obama’s are members.
As with lobbyists Obama has continually railed against Senator Clinton for taking contributions from PAC’s. While his Presidential campaign has not taken PAC contributions the same cannot be said for many who support him.
So far Obama has accepted the endorsement of 95 Members of the House of Representatives (listed below).
Every one of the members of the House of Representatives who are supporting Obama has taken PAC contributions - from a low of $63,500 to over $1,000,000. The list below shows the contributions these members have received from PAC’s so far this election cycle.
Combined these Members of Congress have taken in a total of $36,414,843 from Political Action Committees. As Obama said in his YouTube ad “We can’t end the Washington game until we change the players.”
If Senator Obama gets his way and “change[s] the players” it looks like he will be playing in an empty sandbox. United States House of Representatives

RedState: Why is Christopher Dodd Still the Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee?
Posted by JC | Filed under Uncategorized
You’ve seen the fine reporting done by my RedState colleagues on the Jim Johnson story (Here’s Moe’s take.)
Jim Johnson is the past CEO of Fannie Mae. You know, the government-sponsored entity that buys up a huge chunk of all the home mortgages originated in this country.
Being an accomplished business executive is a fine credential to be a member of Barack Obama’s Vice-Presidential vetting committee. But it’s a bummer that Johnson has accepted low-rate loans from Countrywide Financial that are available only to friends and associates of embattled Countrywide former CEO Angelo Mozilo, as the Wall Street Journal reported earlier this week.
Obama isn’t the kind of guy to tolerate conflicts of interest among people who work for him. Therefore, he immediately denied that Johnson actually does work for him. (Johnson was running Obama’s VP-candidate vetting process, but he wasn’t actually working for Obama. I think that means that Johnson was planning to just send Obama an email with some recommendations at the end of the process, but I can’t be sure.)
Anyway, Obama got tired of being second-guessed on this, so he
fired Johnsoninformed Johnson that he would no longer be not working for the Obama campaign.Today, there’s this. It turns out that Jim Johnson wasn’t the only important guy to receive loans at rates you and I can’t touch.
There’s also Senator Christopher Dodd, Democrat of Connecticut.
Now let me tell you why you need to be mad as a plucked hen about this:
Because Senator Dodd is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs. Along with Barney Frank, Dodd is the guy whose name will be on the landmark mortgage-bailout legislation now pending.
Haven’t I been telling you for months that bailing out homeowners who bought more house than they could afford will inevitably have the effect of bailing out mortgage lenders who had no business making those loans in the first place?
Why is Christopher Dodd accepting personal handouts from the mortgage-lending industry, while simultaneously pushing legislation to bail them out at the expense of everyone who plays by the rules?
Why is Christopher Dodd still running the Senate Banking Committee?

How ol’ Barry Obama eliminates competition:
So much for progressive.
Change of Party Affiliation
Posted by JC | Filed under Uncategorized
One idea comes into mind when I peruse Hillary Clinton supporting sites: party disaffiliation.
One that, truth be told, would’ve gone through my mind had Mitt Romney won the Republican nomination.
The fervor this election has inspired by all kinds of people is amazing… It can be seen in “tweets”, videos, surveys, blog posts, forums and comments. Especially in the comments left by Clintonites, a lot of which are fueled by anger.
I Love You Hillary But
I WILL NOT VOTE FOR OBAMA. I have just left the Democratic Party and am now an Independent. The DNC and Party elites have forced her out. This was in the plans since 2004. I cannot stay with a Party that has advocated such abuse to a fellow Democrat that I have witnessed this Primary season. It has been a real eye opener. Obama has no experience, has a shady past, has no records, and has no real grasp of the issues. Even though I have registered to help the McCain campaign, I will always have Hillary in my heart.
McCain
Love you Hillary, but I have to go with the better candidate and that is McCain! Changed my party affiliation to Independent..Good luck Democrats, you will surely need it this November with the candiate you have nominated!
No way Obamania!
Thank You our Dear Hillary! We love you and we will support you, but not Obamania…sorry, he doesn’t represent me. He ignored our vote in Florida as well as in Michigan. Worse, he accepted profoundly, the votes that doesn’t belong to him.
I just registered at PUMA, KarlaforHillary! Thanks!
Its called “The Carter Effect”.
suef,
I have the same fears, that if Hillary is not on the ticket or in the White House guiding and advising as vp (almost like, makes me throw up in my mouth a little, but a good analogy - Cheney to Bush) that Obama will make Carter-like mistakes and send us into another Republican administration desert for at least 3 terms (remember the 80’s???).
Hillary is Obama’s only hope.
DEAR HILLARY
I JUST SENT MY APPLICATION TO CHANGE PARTIES. I AM OFFICALLY A REGISTERED INDEPENDENT AS OF TODAY. I WILL ALWAYS SUPPORT YOU, BUT NOT OBAMA.
I’M SORRY………….
There’s even a rising number of sites now dedicated to “McCain” Democrats and Democrats against Obama / DNC:
http://www.stop-obama.org, http://mccainocrat.com, http://www.hcsfjm.com (Hillary Clinton Supporters for John McCain), http://turndownobama.com, http://democraticnomore.blogspot.com, http://hireheels.com, http://www.cafepress.com/hillaryormccain
And of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a petition: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/pledge-to-vote-against-obama-in-the-general-election#signatures
But with all that said, there’s quite a number of days until November and that’s a long time to be angry. On the other hand, if it were a Romney ticket instead of McCain, come voting time I’d be scribbling in ‘McCain.’

“What’s Up With Whitey” Part II
Posted by JC | Filed under Uncategorized
Founded on http://hillbuzz.blogspot.com/2008/06/whats-on-michelle-obama-rant-tape.html
Thought this was too interesting to not share. Whether it’s true or not remains to be proven. If it is true, I’m speculating whether it will affect Obama or not. The Wright, Pfleger and his own prejudiced comments haven’t slowed him down. It seems quite a few Americans are okay with racism and hot air.
The Michelle Obama Rant Tape was filmed between June 26th - July 1st 2004 in Chicago, IL at the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition Conference at Trinity United Church: specifically the Women’s Event.
Michelle Obama appeared as a panelist alongside Mrs. Khadijah Farrakhan and Mrs. James Meeks….
For about 30 minutes, Michelle Obama launched into a rant about the evils of America, and how America is to blame for the problems of Africa. Michelle personally blamed President Clinton for the deaths of millions of Africans and said America is responsible for the genocide of the Tutsis and other ethnic groups. She then launched into an attack on “whitey”, and talked about solutions to black on black crime in the realm of diverting those actions onto white America. Her rant was fueled by the crowd: they reacted strongly to what she said, so she got more passionate and enraged…
The “tape” is a DVD that Trinity United sold on its website, and possibly offered free for download up until March 2008 when Trinity’s site was scrubbed and the DVDs were no longer offered for sale.
As I said, whether this is legitimate or not remains to be seen. I’ll fully believe it when I see / hear it but it does make me wonder at the fact that people do believe it is a possibility, that the Obama’s are the kind of people who would make such statements. Then again, this is the same guy who basically said that genociding over 100,000 people doesn’t pose a threat to anyone (see previous blogs) and people are still going in a frenzy over him. I suppose a good speaker can move millions to do anything. Hell, Hitler did.

“What’s Up With Whitey”
Posted by JC | Filed under Uncategorized
The rumor mill is working in overtime!
I’m hearing / reading Hillary Clinton is going to concede tonight, I’m hearing she’s “absolutely not” conceding tonight, I’m hearing Obama is going to announce he’s the nominee anyway, I’m reading former joke of a President Jimmy Carter is going to officially endorse Obama (I had a good laugh at that one) and I’m reading there’s an explosive tape about Obama’s loveable wifey from BOTH Republicans and Democrats:
Evidently there’s a recording of her sitting with Louis Farrakhan (known for very racist / homophobic and antisemitic views) in the church Michelle and Barack Obama attended for 20 years. She’s quoted saying:
“Once again, the white man keeps us down, what’s up with Whitey, Why’d he attack Iraq, Why’d he let Katrina happen, Why’d he leave millions of children behind. This is the legacy the white man gives us” –Michelle Obama
The existence of said tape sounds to good to be true… but then again, I’ve read a number of top Republican and Democratic pundits swearing of its existence. Unfortunately, we might not even see it until October-ish.
